This is the first workshop in the Healing Series, where we take our learnings from the Knowledge Series, and integrate them with powerful healing techniques. The workshop includes an overview of several of the key practices that allow you to heal yourself, and others.
· We begin with: Power Animal Retrieval which shows you how to connect with your spirit guides. Next, we explore: Extraction Healing which helps you release stagnant energy, and clears emotional blockages.
· Then we explore the Psychopomp technique, which assists the spirit of the diseased during their transition to the afterlife, allowing closure and support, for both the living, and the departed souls. And, finally: Soul Retrieval during which we reclaim the lost parts of ourselves, which can cause emotional distress. All these practices involve entering into altered states of consciousness through drumming, or other rhythmical sounds.

· Psychopomp is the conductor of souls and leads us beyond the physical realm. It is a spiritual tradition, reflecting beliefs about life, death, and the idea that everything has a soul. Death is not regarded as an end, but a harmonious transition to a spiritual place.
· It is a moment of closure that provides comfort to the departed, and grieving loved ones. During the psychopomp ceremony, a shamanic practitioner acts as the psychopomp, and assists the soul of the departed, as it transitions from the physical world, to the afterlife.

Using energy work, and drumming techniques, practitioners connect to their spirit guides, and work to extract these influences, and create a spiritual healing. This training is designed for people who want to bring core shamanic healing to their practice with others.
(Participants must be able to successfully journey to the Upper, Lower, and Middle Worlds, and have a strong connection with their Power Animal.)

Extraction healing is the practice of removing spiritual intrusions that are harmful to your wellbeing. It’s a way of sensing, recognizing, and removing discomfort that is attached to your spiritual nature.
The process is guided by a shamanic practitioner who engages various shamanic techniques to release, and clear obstructions impacting your health, and confidence.
The practice is achieved by connecting with your helping spirits in the Middle World, while in an altered state of consciousness.
This is a highly experiential workshop to teach you how to re-empower a client, and help them restore their health and wellbeing.
(Participants must be able to successfully journey to the Upper, Lower, and Middle Worlds, and have a strong connection with their Power Animal.)

In soul retrieval, a shamanic practitioner, with the help of their helping spirits, returns the missing portion of a client’s soul, to restore balance and power.

It is also a review, and practice of the four key shamanic healing techniques: Extraction Healing, Power Animal Retrieval, Psychopomp, and Power Soul Retrieval.
· Participants will also have an opportunity to integrate their knowledge by partnering with a fellow student to conduct a shamanic healing session, to help build confidence, and encourage sharing to deepen their understanding of core shamanism.

11. CORE SHAMANISM HEALING PRACTICE (Day 1)

It represents a lifetime of research, and experimentation, and provides a wealth of information about shamanism and its contemporary practice, as well as providing evidence of the reality of spirits, and our ability to connect with these powerful and compassionate beings for knowledge, healing, and transformation.
